Hannah Lee grew up on the outskirts of Dallas, Texas. A self taught multi-instrumentalist, Lee’s early years were spent honing her abilities as a vocalist. Inspired by artists like Ingrid Michaelson and Regina Spektor, Lee began writing songs at the age of fourteen.
She moved to Los Angeles after finishing high school to pursue a career in entertainment and began to amass a small following on YouTube. The years of auditioning led to an increase in struggles with mental health that eventually led to her choosing to step away from any kind of spotlight. She instead shifted her focus to her growing family and to serving as a worship leader in the local church. But after a series of heartbreaks and set backs, she found herself battling the same mental health struggles and needing an outlet to process her experiences.
In 2020, she connected with north Texas based producer and mix-engineer Michael Child and together they began producing a series of singles that were quietly released on streaming platforms. After a return to the musical theatre stage in December of 2022, Lee made the decision to begin working on her first full length record which was released on January 26, 2024.
Armed with an arsenal of songs and SSRI’s, Lee has found her footing again as an artist and storyteller with no plans of slowing down.
Hannah and her family currently reside in Taipei, Taiwan.
